How Thoughts Create Our Reality: The Human Energy Field




Inside every human being there is a network of nerves and sensory organs that interprets the guise physical world. Behind the understandable physical being is a series of more subtle vehicles of emotional, mental and spiritual consciousness, which includes a series of subtle bodies and a system of... Inside every human being there is a network of nerves and sensory organs that interprets the exterior physical world. Behind the transparent physical being is a series of more subtle vehicles of emotional, mental and spiritual consciousness, which includes a series of subtle bodies and a system of channels and centers of energy, or chakras. These subtle structures are the link between the physical world and the world of spirit.



The subtle body reacts to and records all of our life experiences. Depending on our reaction to these experiences, imbalances can happen. When all our subtle bodies are balanced we can perform at our optimal physical, mental and emotional potential. It is when imbalances happen that we repeatedly experience problems in our lives.



As well as the physical layer of the human body, there are seven further subtle layers, known as subtle energy bodies each increasing in vibration the further from the physical body they are. Although called “ layers”, they are considerably described as interpenetrating and overlapping like a series of “ nesting dolls. ” Each layer is structured of differing frequencies and kinds of energy and performs different functions.



The three innermost layers, like the three lower chakras, are strictly associated with our life as human beings - - the physical, emotional and mental aspects of our being. The three peripheral layers, like the three upper chakras, are associated with the spiritual aspects of our being. The fourth layer, associated with the fourth chakra ( at the heart ), is the arbitrator between the inner and outward layers. For simplicity we will direct to them as only four layers: Etheric, Emotional, Mental, and Spiritual bodies. It is the first three that we are most concerned with here.



The Etheric body extends from the physical body approximately 2” and appears as grayish - down-hearted moving light. Constantly in motion, this field draws ki, universal life force energy, in through the solar plexus chakra and distributes it throughout the body. These rays of light form a invidious netting of light around the physical body and pop in straight when healthy and tangled or bent unlike. Sustaining the physical body, the Etheric body serves as the mold or matrix for physical metabolic functions.



The Emotional body is the second layer of the energetic field and constantly changes colors so reflecting the emotional state of the person. It radiates between 18 inches to 5 feet around the body. These ever - changing amorphous, vapour - like radiations check in clear and energetic when in harmony, such as when feelings of love, appreciation, and joy are experienced. When anger, constraint, depression or anxiety is felt, these colors become pitch-black clouds of still, non moving blocks.



The “ like attracts like” energy interaction takes place here; people cast back to us our deepest, unconscious fears about relationships, trust, purchase, betrayal, anger and fear. This “ mirroring” enables us to note our own unconscious self so that our unsettled issues are brought up to the surface. This field is a very important field in the health of our physical bodies, as it holds all of our unsettled emotional traumas and feelings. When a traumatic event happens in the life, it stays around recreating and recreating coinciding events through the “ like attracts like” energy interaction. Our lives, interior and independent, are a reflection of these interpenetrating, vibrational patterns of energy.

Defining The Human Energy Field




The subtle energy body is “ an energetic matrix for the physical body, and extends beyond it into the space around us. Like the earth, the human body has a yellow-eyed energetic ‘ skin’, an invisible but solid membrane that contains our subtle energy body” Hartley ( 2004, p. 141 ). This subtle, but powerful system is the life force that propels movement, creates breathe, and inspires inferring. This is the human energy field.



The field of energy “ extends beyond the body as the aura, which can be felt and pragmatic by some people. Every incongruity in energy discerning, and sentiment is registered here, and the quality of the energy field gives us a sense of the general tangibility and vibration of the person; psychotherapeutic work engages with this level in particular” Hartley ( 2004, p. 47 ). The energy field is an intuitive language “ that is the essence of who we are, a subtle vibration underlying material physical, both living and inanimate” ( Orloff, 2000, p. 29 ). The subtle energy field is wrapped in many clear layers encapsulating the body. It has no edges or barriers and moves with the beat of the heart, the brain, the tissues and cells. Energy is formless, unattached and moves in and out through pathways seeking homeostasis. “ Energy flows and circulates within and around the physical body but has its own anatomy and physiology, flows and currents; both bodies, the physical and the energetic, influence and are influenced by each other” Hartley ( 2004, p. 47 ).



Energy anatomy is viewed in four basic layers: The first layer is the physical body or also know as etheric. The etheric body relates to the whole physical body, the skin, muscles, bones, and organs.









The aid layer is the emotional body, which includes all types of emotions such as happy, unhappy, angry, worry, joy, and so on.
